Dear Parents / Guardians
Welcome to the school holidays and to a more traditionally “Gweru winter”! After a very long school term, the lastweek or so seemed to literally fly by. Herewith some end of term news together with reminders for next term.
INTER HOUSE FITNESS ACTIVITIES
These took place last Monday and Thursday and comprised of track events. The combined results from all age groups were:
SAPPHIRE 270 points
TOPAZ 288 points
RUBY 323 points
Well done to all our participants, and special congratulations to Ruby house! A new record was set for the Under 12
boys 100m by Tadiwanashe Denga with a time of 13,37 seconds. Congratulations, Tadiwa! Please encourage your children to exercise during the holidays. Keeping fit in all ways is important.
WINTER UNIFORM
Please note that we will continue using our winter uniform into Term Two. Please ensure that your child has the correct shades of blue and grey for the various items, as well as the correct texture fabric. Enbee Stores stock the correct uniforms for Midlands Christian School.
OPEN DOOR POLICY
A reminder that we are here for you! Should you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to call
and make an appointment. We will do
our best to assist you.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Please be sure to know what your children are seeing and taking part in on the internet. Set rules and time allocations for your child being online. If they use a computer, make sure it is placed close by so that you can see what is taking place. If you allow them to spend time on a gadget, take interest and know what they are doing. Apparently harmless games are not always safe.
COVID PRECAUTIONS
Children have been reminded to wear masks, sanitize hands, avoid touching their faces and keep physically distanced when away from home. Please encourage and reinforce from home.
VERSE FOR THE WEEK
God knows us by name! No matter where we are or what we are doing, He knows us! As we move into our holiday
period, may the truth of His Word remain with us and in us. “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I
have called you by your name; You are Mine. 2When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.” Isaiah 43 vs 1b, 2a
