UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS

SUMMER UNIFORM

Boys:
Grey shorts, short sleeve sky blue shirt, grey long socks, black lace up shoes, garters, shoe cloth and royal blue hat with badge.

Girls:
Royal blue gingham dress, white ankle socks, white/royal blue hair ribbons, royal blue hat with badge, black lace up shoes or girls’ buckle shoes and a shoe cloth.

WINTER UNIFORM

Boys:
Grey longs, short or long sleeve sky blue shirt, grey long socks, royal blue tie & badge (Grade 6 & 7), black lace up shoes, royal blue hat with badge, and royal blue pullover with badge, anorack, blazer and a shoe cloth.

Girls:
Sky blue shirt (long sleeved) and royal blue trousers; white/royal blue hair ribbons, royal blue hat with badge, black buckle or lace up shoes, and royal blue jersey with badge and/or blazer, anorack and a shoe cloth.

NOTE:

  • Blazers
    Blazers are to be compulsory for all children (Grade 1 to 7) to wear to assemblies on Tuesdays and Fridays. They will also be worn for any other formal function as and when required.
  • It is already compulsory for Grade 6 and 7 children to wear a blazer every day and this will remain the same

A GUIDELINE ON SCHOOL REGULATIONS

SCHOOL HOURS

Grades 1 & 2: 7.15am - 12:30pm

Grades 3-7: 7.15am - 12:45pm

Afternoon Activities: 1.15pm - 3.30pm (refer to Afternoon Activities timetable each term)

Reception Office Hours: 7.30am - 4.30pm (Monday - Thursday) - 7.30am - 3.30pm (Friday)

  • Pupils are expected to arrive at least 10 minutes before the bell rings – to allow them time to settle down before the prompt start of lessons at 7:20 a.m.
  • Pupils are to be collected promptly after sporting activities, and no later than 1:30 p.m. on a Friday.

UNIFORMS

  • BLAZERS are compulsory for all pupils from Grades 1 to 7 on Tuesdays and Fridays for formal assembly.
  • Pupils to wear correct regulation uniforms for school and sports.
  • FORMAL FUNCTIONS (i.e. School / College Speech Night/Plays etc.)
    Girls: 
    Blazer (Grade 1 to 7) - Summer Uniform
    Boys:
    Blazer (Grade 1 to 7) - Grey longs, Sky blue long-sleeved shirt, school tie (with badge), grey socks, black lace up shoes. (Hat - if function held outdoors.)
    Grades 1- 5 are not required to wear a tie.
    NO TRACKSUITS
HAIR
 
Boys hair must be cut so that: 
  • the hair before the ear ends no lower than the bottom of the temples;
  • when combed downwards from the crown the hair does not meet the upper edges of the ears;
  • the nape of the neck is clean and the hair is off the collar;
  • the shape of the hair generally follows the contours of the head;
Girls hair:
  • which is shoulder length (touching the collar) or longer must be tied with a ribbon/elastic of one of the MCS colours (royal blue, sky blue or white). ‘Scrunchies’ may be worn, in MCS colours, but must not be wider than 3 cm;
  • braids are NOT permissible, no dyed colours, beads etc. If long, it must be tied back (no half ponytails);
  • clips should be plain silver, white, royal blue. No fancy accessories e.g. butterflies, flowers etc.

Generally, the appearance of the hair should be well-combed, neat and controlled.

EARRINGS
 
The school takes no responsibility for children wearing ear studs. Should the parent insist on the child wearing such, the ear stud to be worn shall be small and the shanks thereof shall not protrude beyond the clips which fasten the said studs at the back of the ears. These being in either plain gold or silver.
