Welcome back to school, after a very short break! We are looking forward to an enjoyable, busy, productive term with you and your children.Thank you to those parents who attended the class meetings towards the end of last term. Your input is appreciated. We are in the process of responding to the various issues raised. ATHLETICSCongratulations to Nicole Mugwadhi who represented Zimbabwe at the COSSASA games in Swaziland. She managed to obtain a silver medal. Way to go, Nicole! MEALSAs previously, parents of day pupils may order and pay for “lunch” for your child. The amount paid includes a break time snack on the days specified with your payment. Please note that payments should be made to the school, at least a few days ahead of the day you wish to start with the meals, and for not less than two weeks at a time. If you have any queries or concerns in this regard, please feel free to make an appointment to see Mrs Flanagan. AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES AND CALENDARPlease see the attached afternoon activities schedule and calendar. Be reminded that every pupil, from Grade 3 to 7 must attend at least two afternoons of sport per week. Kindly ensure that children have the correct kit for sport. PARENTS ASSEMBLY COMMITTEEWe would like to appreciate the following parents in their role of the Parents Assembly Committee. Herewith are their details, should you wish to make contact with them.
Thank you so much to our Committee members for their support in giving freely of their time and input. ARRIVAL AND PICK-UP TIMESA reminder of the following times:All pupils are expected to be at the school by 7:10 am.Children must be collected by 1:00pm on Fridays (unless there is a specifically organised function) as there are no Staff to oversee the children on a Friday afternoon. Please also note that children should be collected by 5:15 pm on any other afternoon. Be advised that if a child is not collected by 5:30pm (Monday to Thursday) they will be sent to hostel until your arrival. We do not expect such pupils to frequent the hostel. We strongly recommend that Grade One & Two children are collected soon after the morning lessons (12:30pm) of after their optional afternoon activity (2:15pm). When little ones remain at school all day, they become extremely tired and easily fall into poor behavioural patterns. FOOD / WATERPlease ensure your child eats breakfast before coming to school and brings a snack and water for break time. If he or she is staying into the afternoon, lunch must be provided. Please avoid juices with high sugar content which are unhealthy and attract bees. Children should bring at least two well sealed bottles of drinking water each day. COMMUNICATION / CONTACT NUMBERSPlease ensure the School office has your up-to-date email address and phone numbers. Kindly advise the Receptionist if you have had changes, or if you are not receiving emails. We can then check and update our details.
