A warm welcome to term 3 2018! In our assembly devotions we will be hearing about some of the Super-Heroes of the Bible and learning how we too can be real Super-Heroes! We look forward to an exciting and growing term with the children.
CALENDAR AND AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES
Please see the attached schedules. If you have any queries, do not hesitate to contact the office. It is compulsory for every child from Grade 3—7, and those in Grade 2 born in 2010, to attend at least two afternoons of sport. Swimming is compulsory this term, and Team Swimmers are expected to attend all allocated team sessions. Other sports are optional. Please assist your child in choosing added activities, as some would choose to do everything and not fit in the time or energy to be able to cope with the required homework.
CRICKET AND TENNIS: SATURDAY 8 SEPTEMBER 2018
We will be hosting Lomagundi College Primary School. Matches will begin at 8:00 am. All team players should be at their venues by 7:15 am. We would value your support, parents, if you are able to come and watch your child play!
When purchasing uniform, please ensure you have the correct shade of blue and grey for the various items. If unsure, please check at the office.
HEALTH CARE: HATS AND WATER
Kindly ensure your child wears a hat every day to and from school. Please be sure to send your child with at least two bottles of water every day. Children can re-fill their bottles from the water containers at school and should never drink water from the taps. Please reinforce this rule from home.
Please note that we have a new MCS costume. As far as possible, please plan to get your child a new costume, although there will be an “overlap” period. All team swimmers should have the new costume by the first Inter-house gala.
For swimming sessions, children should bring ordinary “slops” to wear to and from the pool area. Children may leave the pool area in sports kit and slops, (no pumps for girls) or uniform and school shoes. They may not mix slops with uniform. Please enforce this with your child at home. All children must bring a towel to dry themselves before dressing.
Thank you to those who have paid, collected and stitched on the name tags as requested by the school. PLEASE could all parents be sure to pay the $14,00 to the office by 14 September 2018 at the latest. As soon as you pay an order is made and the tags arrive within a week. It is important to make this work, in a bid to cut down on lost property, and on items which do not belong to them being taken by children. We ask for your co-operation.
